Despite complaints from neighbors and a county prohibition, Kensington's backyard fund-raising impresario Danny Scher went ahead Sunday with his Kerry-for-President concert in the outdoor amphitheater next to his house.

Sharing the stage Sunday were Ilana Wexler of Oakland, who became a celebrity in July when she addressed the Democratic convention as the 12-year- old founder of Kids for Kerry, and comedians Will Durst and Don Novello, among others.
