from a racially mixed crowd at a mostly filled 6,000-seat theater,
after sets by R&B singer-songwriter Ne-Yo and rockers the Goo
Goo Dolls. A lineup of speakers ranged from 86-year-old James Whitmore
to the youthful Kal Penn.
