HALLE BERRY has joined the celebrity fans of presidential wannabe BARACK OBAMA by recording a new online message of support. The pregnant Oscar winner insists Democrat Obama is the perfect choice to replace George W. Bush in the White House at the beginning of 2009. She says, "We are really going to need a president who has the ability to think big, and Barack Obama is that president." Catwoman Berry joins former Batman Michael Keaton, fellow mum-to-be Jessica Alba, will.i.am, Oprah Winfrey and Will Smith, all of whom have spoken openly about their support for Obama. 03/05/2008 01:46:38 AMadd your comments HALLE BERRY

It looks as if the Bush-bash bandwagon is about to get even more crowded. Meanwhile, one of my LCR tipsters has given me info on a “secret” fund-raising dinner for John Kerry scheduled for Thursday. The event will purportedly be held at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in the People’s Republic of Santa Monica. Stumping for the war-hero-turned-anti-war radical-turned-sensitive warmonger-turned-vet-praiser-turned-vet-basher will be Tony Bennett, Courtney Cox, Leonardo DiCaprio, Melanie Griffith, Anjelica Huston, Michael Keaton, Viggo Mortensen, Rob Reiner, Mary Steenburgen, Ted Danson and Sharon Stone, among others. The price to break bread with the candidate who professes to relate to ordinary Americans is five G’s a plate. Tinseltown's Lockstep March for Kerry James Hirsen
