Actor Jeremy Piven came to Butler on Thursday to stump for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, telling an audience of about 100 in the Reilly Room that "I can't help but believe that he will be an amazing face for us in the rest of the world."

"How can you not love the guy?" said Piven, star of the HBO series "Entourage," who was in his second day of visiting colleges on behalf of the Illinois senator.

Piven praised Obama for speaking out against the Iraq war "when it wasn't fashionable and it was actually dangerous for a politician to do that." And without naming names – but clearly referring to Obama's Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton – Piven said he was "a little confused" by those who voted for the war but won't acknowledge an error in judgment.

"I want to vote for a guy whose judgment I trust," he said. "And so far, on the major issues like that, he's been right."

Asked about Obama's relative lack of experience, Piven said, "I'll take judgment over experience any day."

Obama, he said, "just really feels like the genuine article. He's truly a man of his word."

ATLANTA, Georgia (CNN) -- Is life intimating art on the campaign trail when Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-New York, makes a trip to Hollywood Wednesday night?

Fans of the HBO series "Entourage" will note a party at director Brett Ratner's "Hillhaven" mansion was the centerpiece of a recent episode.

As previously reported on the Ticker, "Entourage" star Jeremy Piven is among the celebrity hosts Wednesday night at a fundraiser with the New York Democrat at Ratner's home. Eva Longoria, Penelope Cruz, Heather Graham, Christina Aguilera and Mike Myers are among the celebrities holding the private campaign event, billed as a "Young Hollywood" reception.
