LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - President Clinton Saturday took the morning off from his weekend of political fund raising and rubbing shoulders with Hollywood stars to play a round of golf.

Saturday night Clinton was to return to the party and fund-raising circuit by attending a gala where stars like Whoopi Goldberg and Gregory Peck will pay him tribute and pour an estimated $1 million into first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton's U.S. Senate campaign.
