"The first and crucial step for the Democrats to regain the public trust and confidence is to make clear that people can have confidence in us that we will keep them safe," HillPAC communications director Ann Lewis told the Jewish Forward.

Clinton "has a coherent approach to national security that can serve as a model," Lewis boasted, without explaining how the former first lady intended to handle questions about her husband's failure to take terrorism seriously when she was his chief adviser.
