In Madison, Wis., thousands turned out Thursday to see Kerry – and Bruce
Springsteen, who sang "Promised Land" and "No Surrender," the latter adopted
as the Democrat's campaign anthem. Sheryl Crow and Bon Jovi, too, have
been the Massachusetts senator's opening acts this week.
On Wednesday, singer-songwriter Carole King and TV actresses
Melissa Fitzgerald of NBC's "The West Wing" and Allison Munn from
the WB's "What I Like About You" showed up in Rochester, Minn. Later,
Rob Livingston, of the movie "Office Space," returned to his hometown
of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to lead supporters in a phone bank.
