When New York Sen. Hillary Clinton, the presumed frontrunner for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination, came to Ohio in mid-October to campaign for Senate candidate Sherrod Brown, Brown dragged her to the Fitch High School auditorium in the Mahoning Valley community of Austintown.

When Bill Clinton campaigned for Ohio Democrats last week, he was sent not to the Democratic stronghold of Cleveland but to Columbus in Franklin County, which gave 55 percent of the vote to the man Brown is challenging, Republican Sen. Mike DeWine, in the 2000 election.

When television stars Luke Perry and Adam Brody came to campaign for Brown, Ohio Democrats scheduled them in Bowling Green, Xenia, Granville and Toledo.
