The Book of Genesis
Genesis is the the Greek word for "origin" or "beginning". Genesis records the creation of the world by God. Genesis is divided into two parts. The first part gives a general history of mankind and the spread of sin in the world. The second part presents the devastating flood in the days of Noah and the early history of Israel down to the death and burial of Joseph.
