John Bunyan November 28, 1628 – August 31, 1688
In 1658 Bunyan was indicted for preaching without a licence. He continued, however, and was imprisoned in November 1660. He was confined at first for three months, but on refusing to stop from preaching, his was imprisoned for a period of nearly 12 years.
