"You will never be indecisive if you know your purpose. Faced with a dilemma, the correct choice will reveal itself once you weigh your options against your objectives. These should be durable, long-term goals, otherwise you may be tempted to forsake them for the lure of instant gratification. For example, students may face a choice of carousing all night or studying for a big exam. If their primary objective is to get a diploma, then there really is no choice. They are obligated to to crack open those books. However, if they are not sure what they want to accomplish in school and life- if they don't feel it in their bellies- they may very well waste the night in some small bar, and then waste the next day with one large regret."
