Henry Kissinger received his B.A. degree summa cum laude at Harvard College in 1950. It was believed that Kissinger was the only person to receive a perfect grade point average from Harvard, but he received one B in his senior year. He received his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees at Harvard University. From 1954 until 1971 he was a member of the Faculty of Harvard University, both in the Department of Government and at the Center for International Affairs. Kissinger served as National Security Advisor under President Richard Nixon, and Secretary of State from 1973 to 1977. He remained as Secretary of State under President Gerald Ford following Nixon's resignation. He was awarded Nobel Peace Prize in 1973;
