One of the reasons I started this site
One day when I was shopping at a local mall - I witnessed an elderly woman trying to make her way through the mall. She was hunched over with osteoporosis, her head was tilted at a 45 degree angle to the ground and her pace was so slow that she was barely moving. It looked like each step she took would be her last. This was a large mall. I found myself tired and even lost sometimes and I am young, strong with no physical ailments. Yet this women - in her late seventies, physically challenged was trying to make her way through the crowd of people moving about 30 feet every every five minutes.

She was on the second floor of the mall and I watched as she slowly made her way toward an elevator. As I watched her- I felt horrible. I wanted to ask her if she needed help. I wanted to help her and yet I was afraid that someone would think that I was trying to take advantage of her. So I just watched to make sure that she was okay. I watched to see that she did not fall over or get knocked over. I watched her for almost an hour as she eventually made her way down the elevator to the first floor of the mall and then I watched her walk off. I felt so sad for this woman. I was hoping that she would be meeting her husband or a family member- but she did not. I wondered how she got to the mall and how was she getting home. I thought- what if this was my mother? I still feel sick even today when I think of this women and I feel even worse that I did not even stop to ask her if she needed any help!

One of the reasons I started this site is to help people like this women. Liberalism has always claimed to help the poor and disadvantaged. This is not true - liberalism subsidizes the poor and disadvantaged.. It was not until Republicans took over Congress that time limits were placed on welfare benefits. That means generation after generation of people of sound mind and body were collecting taxpayer money for doing nothing. Would liberals have ever stopped this? The answer is no. This was part of there voting base. How many people on welfare vote republican?

The truth is that society needs to help the young, elderly and the mentally and physically challenged first. These are people, that cannot always help themselves. This is where our resources as a society should be directed toward.

The United States has already been set up for those of sound mind and body to achieve. It gives those people the environment (freedom) to do anything they wish in life. You can go to school, get an education, work hard, save and have a family. If you decide to waste your life by dropping out of school, becoming addicted to drugs or choose a path of crime that is a choice you make. As an adult of sound mind and body - you must then live with the consequences of your decisions. Government should be directing its resources toward that cannot help themselves. The liberal mindset has always been and remains what are you going to do for me? Money is spent on wasteful government programs and not to those who really need it. Can anyone argue with this? If you don't believe me- visit a state facility that cares for the mentally challenged.

I missed the chance to help that women in the mall - but maybe I can help the next entire generation by changing a philosophy so that maybe people like this women receive the help that they need.
