Hurricane Katrina- A Liberal Vs Conservative Analogy
When Hurricane Katrina was heading toward the Gulf Coast as a category 5 storm- every person that was mentally and physically able to evacuate - should have left. I ask the question- why? Why should they have left? The answer is because if they evacuated- it would have allowed resources to be directed directed toward the old, young, sick and the mentally or physically challenged that were unable to leave.

There is not enough resources to help everyone in society. You have a duty to your family, neighbor, society and your country to help yourself if you have the capacity to do so. By doing so- you will also be helping the weakest and most vulnerable in society. When the rescue efforts are directed toward the strong and people that can help themselves- the weakest will suffer the most. In such devastation- the young, old, sick and mentally or physically challenged will die first..

Do you agree with the above? It is the truth! So lets apply this theory to every day society.

Liberals have allowed unlimited welfare and programs for years (generations) to people that are mentally and physically capable of providing for themselves. When Republicans said that welfare needed to be limited with respect to time- liberals said that Republicans were mean spirited and wanted to starve children. However- when such massive amounts of funds are given to people that can help themselves- it takes away resources that could be directed toward people that cannot help themselves.

Please note that liberal ideology has the opposite intended affect. It hurts the people that it is intending on helping. If every person that could have left the Gulf Coast before Hurricane Katrina came ashore- there would be much less death and the rescue efforts would be directed toward those that needed it.

Don't rescue me- I can take of myself. Instead - rescue the elderly, sick, weak, children and the mentally challenged or physically challenged first. What would you think of someone that said rescue me- forget about that elderly person in a wheel chair over there? You would not think highly of them. Well- this is the same as a person collecting benefits from an entitlement program that can help themselves.

People also say that there were some people that were to poor to leave. What were you doing with your life that you could not afford to leave? What good will, friendships and family were you developing. Even if I had no money - I could have went to friends or family or family in Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, Ohio NY, Colorado..... and they would have accepted me. So the poor had no money, no cars, no friends and no family to help them. Who bears that responsibility?

As this tragedy occurs what is the liberal response- they blame President Bush. The leaders in Louisiana were well aware of their situation and the danger of flooding in New Orleans. However- the Governor did not order a mandatory evacuation of New Orleans and the mayor ordered one 48 hours before the eye came ashore. That is 24 hours before the eye came ashore- not the outer bands of the storm. A coordinated evacuation would have saved lives. There were unused buses and no plans to evacuate the poor. The mayor told people to go to the Superdome- but provided no supplies. Once again-liberals do not take responsibility for their actions and seem fit to only place blame.

You have a responsibility to your family, neighbor, society and your country to be self sufficient. This is the very least that you can do for your country so that resources can be directed toward those that cannot help themselves. The liberal philosophy or ideology is a selfish one. What are you going to do for me?

America is your country and your home- it allows you to do anything in life that you choose. If you choose to waste that opportunity- don't blame America! Blame yourself. Support you country by being self sufficient, don't take from it what you don't need and you will help those that are less fortunate than yourself and make America a better place to live.
