If you want to blame anyone for the military
and civilian death toll in Iraq- blame Democrats (liberals) Liberals have called President Bush a war criminal and called for him to be impeached- because of the war. This is in response to a dictator that started two wars (Kuwait & Iran), was responsible for killing millions of people and poisoning his own people (including children) with deadly gas. Liberals said the war was blood for oil war! If you remember Jim McDermott- a Democrat- went to Iraq and before the war and called President Bush a liar (this is while he was in Iraq)! Liberals call the war unjust. As a result other countries have not sent troops and not supported the effort to spread freedom to the Iraq people. The liberal media has run unending stories about the failures in Iraq- but very little about the progress there. In any law enforcement or military action- overwhelming force is needed. Watch a criminal fight the police and it will be if the odds or even or in the their favor. However- have 50 police officers surround a criminal- it is likely that the criminal will just give up. I went through a police road block one time- checking for intoxicated drivers and about 30 police officers were lining the streets. I can tell you that no one was going to engage them in a fight! Would you personally want to fight one person or 50 people? If you were surrounded by 50 people- it is unlikely that you would put up a fight....... I have heard liberals say in reference to the Iraq War- "why haven't we learned anything from past wars"? I would say in response- did we learn anything from Hitler? In the 1930's there was a call to take a proactive approach to stopping Hitler- but many Democrats in that day were against it. If Saddam Hussein - stayed in power and 10 years from now acquired a nuclear bomb and destroyed Israel- would the Iraq War have been worth it? Of course we will never know the answer to that question. However- we do know the deaths and evil that Hitler perpetrated. This is the lesson we should learn from history! Liberals blame George Bush and Republicans for all the deaths in Iraq- when it is the rhetoric from Democrats (liberals) that has led to a politically correct war in Iraq and has emboldened the terrorists to fight against America! The words of Cindy Sheehan only encourage terrorists to kill the sons and daughters of Americans. Instead of having an overwhelming force- to take control of terrorists and fight the war in Iraq that needs to be fought- we have fought a complacent war for close to four years. This has led to the deaths of many more Iraq civilians and United States military personnel. So if you want to blame anyone for the number of deaths in Iraq- blame Democrats.
