Proof there is a God Proof there is a God Certainly- there are evil people in the world- but it is a small minority. The overwhelming majority of people are good. If we see someone in trouble- our basic instinct is to help. And this is true in every society. Why is this? Why do we have this within us? There is something spiritual within us. If this were not the case- society would be in chaos. There are some that would say that there are places in the world where chaos does exist. You can point to places such as Somalia, N. Korea, and liberals will even say Iraq.... However- please note that the majority of people in these countries do not wish for this type of existence. They desire to raise their families in peace, freedom and goodness. It is only a few that wish to for this chaos and it is for selfish reasons. This represents evil in the world. And the existence of evil cannot be denied. We have seen it in the past and we see it every day- whether it is a dictator that has killed millions of people or someone that murders an innocent child. And the battle to stop evil is not an easy one. It takes sacrifice, courage, determination, strength and faith. And there is always a great cost to pay. It is costly in the short term with a reward in the long term. Individually, we fight our own personal battles every day of doubt, temptation and faith. We know that the spirit is willing and the flesh is weak. However- we win these battles with the same characteristics and sacrifice that we defeat evil and the reward is in the long term. In terms of society, politics and elections you must understand that there is one party that does not want to confront evil. The same evil that we confront every day with common criminals. They want to give violent criminals a second chance and remove religion from society. They support the termination of the life of a child as it is being born. This party would let evil prosper - if there is a cost for the fight. I digress.... However- you must understand that no matter the cost - we cannot turn our backs to evil. To ignore evil only means it will happen to someone else. And to do so- would only encourage more evil and then evil would prosper. If evil were happening to you or your family - I am certain that you would wish for help. People will ask - if there is a God- why do bad things happen to good people? The first President Bush's daughter Robin- died of Leukemia at age 3. In an interview - President Bush said that he learned more from her short life than from any of his other children. He learned to appreciate life and to love his children everyday. Perfection does not lie within this world. However- there is a truth about life. Bad things do happen to good people- but in general - really bad things happen to bad people. Good may lose some battles to evil- but good will conquer evil in the end. It is the characteristics within us that makes this so. We accept love and we reject hate- love is more powerful than evil and this is proof that there is a God. One last note- there is sometimes a great cost to confronting evil- but it does not mean that we should ever back down whether it is within ourselves, our society or in another country in the world.
