Mel Gibsons Arrest and Liberals
On the Mel Giobson arrest- I would advise his fans not to abandon him. Please note that liberals did not abandon Ted Kennedy, Gary Condit, Cynthia McKinney, Barney Frank, Sandy Berger or Bill Clinton (remember Clinton was accused of rape among other things) during their scandals. They did not ask or call for their resignations. Also please note that there is plenty of Christian bashing by liberals and yet there is no condemnation of this or really any coverage of it by the main stream media. There has also been plenty of bashing of conservatives by liberals that the main stream media also generally accepts. Jeanine Garafola - in a speech called conservatives evil. Replace the word conservatives in that statement with blacks and there would have been an uproar in the main stream media.

I know- conservatives should not act like liberals. However- the important thing to note here is that Mel Gibson made his statements about Jewish people while he was legally intoxicated. This would not stand the test of any legal contract. Also - please note that the Democrats mentioned above made their mistakes when they were completely sober.

Lastly- I would not want to be held to account for the things that I have said or done when I was intoxicated and I would say that everyone reading this would feel the same. We have all done and said stupid things when we have been drinking. Alcohol is a mind altering drug. Mel Gibson has apologized and I believe that we should take him on his word for this. Do not abandon Mel Gibson - wait and see where he goes from here.
