Janet Jackson- A Completely Selfish, Inappropriate and Disrespectful Act
Over the past week I have listened to all points of view regarding Janet Jackson exposing her breast during the half time show at the Super Bowl. I have listened to family, friends, news commentaries, political debate shows and even Howard Stern. Liberals make the argument that it is only a breast, what is the big deal? Howard Stern questioned whether we are going to cover up nude paintings and sculptures in museums next? The conservative viewpoint focuses on protecting children from such displays. Liberals are wrong once again in there analysis. I ask- what right does any private citizen have in deciding what someone else's child should and shouldn't be exposed to? For years liberals have complained that Conservatives want to force morality on society. However, what Janet Jackson did was force her immorality on society. There is no guarantee that when you raise a child that he or she will become a good citizen. However, there is great probability that a child will not become a good citizen when they are raised with no morality. Please note that when you walk into a museum, you have a choice and a reasonable expectation of viewing nudity. That is choice that a parent decides for their child. The same can be said when viewing a movie. It is the reason we have a rating system in film. However, there is no reasonable expectation of viewing nudity at a Super Bowl half time show. What next- exposed breasts on Sesame Street or Barney? Someone may say that it is only a breast. Well- next time someone else may say that is only a naked body or that it is only sex. Bottom line- parents are responsible for raising their children as they see fit and protecting them from what they believe to be harmful. What Janet Jackson did was motivated by self promotion and nothing else. It was disrespectful, inappropriate and I am certain that one day when she has a child and someone forces what she believes to be immoral behavior on her child, she will be upset and appalled.

Predictions
-After a failed Presidential bid, the Kerry's will divorce citing the stress of campaigning.
-Michael Jackson's financial troubles will become so great that he will eventually file for Bankruptcy.
-As Michael Jackson falls deeper into financial trouble, he will no longer be able to support his staff and more people will come forward with stories of inappropriate behavior.
-Howard Dean will separate from the Democratic Party and eventually attempt to form his own political party.
-The poor performance by Joe Lieberman in the Democratic Presidential Primary will encourage Al Gore to run for President in 2008, as it will lead him to believe that Lieberman had a lot to do with his losing the 2000 election.
-Al Gore will never become President of the United States.
-Despite his denials, John Kerry is using botox on his face in an attempt to improve his appearance.
