And now that Democrats have control Please note that if Democrats really cared about saving lives - they would be focusing their concerns in other places. However- if saving lives does not advance their agenda- it does not matter to them. Although 3,000 Americans died fighting to spread freedom in Iraq- during that same time 120,000 Americans died in car accidents. This includes about 40,000 children. And yet you hear nothing from Democrats about this. You don't hear them offering ways to make roads safer, staggering the time between red lights, better road signs, alcohol detectors on cars driven by those under 21..... And I will not even go into the abortion issue- in which there are millions taking place every year - but they have no problem with that. President Gerald Ford passed away recently. At the time of his presidency- he pardoned Richard Nixon after Nixon resigned. Ford only had so many hours in the day to devote to the country and he did not want to use half of every day focusing on the further prosecution of Nixon. He had a country he was responsible for and Ford believed that the nation had gone through enough and that Nixon's resignation was enough punishment. What did Democrats do? They tore him apart. They claimed there was an agreement between him and Nixon (quid pro quo) - they made him testify in front of Congress. They did all they could to make him look bad- because it was not long before the presidential elections. However- now - they say it was the right thing to do. Now- it was the right thing to do! Their purpose then was to get rid of Ford and what happened when Ford was not reelected- Jimmy Carter was and Carter was probably one of the worst presidents in American history. Please note Democrats do not care about reconciliation, getting along and they will sacrifice what is best for their country for the good of their own party! Written by Thomas
