How the military deaths in Iraq are being used as a
political tool by the Left It is a fact of life that people die in the endeavor to achieve and it is also a fact that people die for less noble causes than those listed above. Please note that each year thousands of people are murdered by their spouses, thousands die as the result of workplace accidents and tens of thousands more die due to skin cancer. This past year more than 40,000 Americans died in automobile accidents. However- this number is small compared to the amount of people that die each year due to heart disease. Does this mean that we should ban marriage, never leave our homes, close beaches, ban driving, and ban all food that is considered not healthy? How many of you reading this would be willing to give your life for
a bridge, dam, building or even space exploration. How many of you would
be willing to give up your life for your job or running to McDonalds for
a hamburger? I would not give up my life for any of these causes. However-
there are a few causes in life that are worth dying for. I would give
up my life to save my family, for the cause of freedom and for my country!
The war in Iraq is a cause for freedom. Liberals would have you believe
that the war in Iraq was for oil. Well- we have seen the prices of oil
and this is not so. As previously noted, the less dictators in the world
- the safer the world becomes and the safer America becomes. If liberals
are against dying for the cause of freedom, then they should be for banning
marriage, driving, certain foods, large construction projects and space
exploration because freedom is a greater cause than any of these. Liberals
have it backwards as always and they are using the deaths in Iraq as a
political tool. America is the greatest county in the world because we
endeavor to achieve great things and sometimes it comes at a great cost.
You must ask yourself what would America be like if Americans never endeavored
to achieve? Even more so- what would the world look like? Written by Thomas
