The most productive people in the world
are Americans My parents computer was connecting to the Internet- but they could not access any pages. When I got to my parents- I called Juno numerous times and each tome got someone in another country. I asked one person where they were at and they said- "the Philippines". I spent close to five hours and made at least 12 different calls always to a foreign country and the problem was never solved. In fact it was made worse.... I had Internet service at one time through Bellsouth for close to five years. When I had problems- I would call and get some college kid in the United States and within a few minutes - the problem was solved. They followed no script- they solved the problem. However- one day I called and I got someone in another country. On one call- it took three minutes just to look up my account. They read through scripts and solving problems became a time consuming disaster of misinformation. I cancelled my Bellsouth service. Please know- I am a loyal customer when treated well. I have use the same soap, deodorant and have had the same bank since I was 18. I once worked at a bank and they were moving the department to India and implementing scripts that could be followed by whomever took the phone calls. It was a dumbing down process. For those that were good at their job- it slowed them down- because instead of handling a problem- you had to follow a script through a call and the scripts were slow. I know one thing- these companies think they are saving money by moving their customer service to other countries where they can pay people less. It took 5 hours to resolve a simple problem and got nothing accomplished by Juno. If they had people answering the calls in America that knew what they were doing - they would have saved money. It should have taken 10 minutes. Have you ever had problem at work with your computer? They send an IT person to your desk. They don't read a script to solve your problem- they just solve it.... If you ask me- the most productive people in the world are Americans.... too bad American companies don't know this.... Written by Thomas
